First and foremost, I’m a mom. Regardless of all of the fabulous things swirling about me and the amazing opportunities that come my way, everything I do in my life comes back to one thing — being a mom and how what I do and how I do it affects the four most important people in my life, my children. It’s a privilege to have been able to parent each of them, and if you read my blog, you’ll get to know a bit about them in time. There’s Sean, then Marissa, followed by Michael and Andrew.
Being a writer, it’s only natural that I love books. If you want to capture my interest, start talking books, or music, movies, volunteering, travel or wine. I’m sure to turn your way and start listening. Bring up writing or social media; tell me about your marketing projects . . . I’m there — which leads to what I do for work.
I am a content director in #highered, working primarily in brand management and online content. I love hearing and sharing stories. A writer for more than 20 years, my work has been featured in print and online via The Huffington Post, daily newspapers, parenting magazines, technology publications and more. I am a regular contributor to Parenting New Hampshire and was published in the anthology, “Friendship.”
I’ve been a marketing/public relations consultant for many years and wish I had at least 20 more hours a week to devote to all of the work-related projects that I’d love to get involved with further. Simply put, I love what I do.
Beyond my family and work, my passion lies in service. Community service. Volunteering. Doing for others. Call it what you will, but there’s a lot of things that need our time and attention out there to make this world a better place. If we all did just a bit, imagine what this world might be. It’s in our hands — yours and mine.
